(children pretend to sleep and lie on the floor)

UP jumped the scarecrow

(children jump up)

(children hold their arms like a scarecrow, the head hangs down to the left)

With a flippy floppy hat

(the heads move to the right)

I can shake my hands like this

(shake hands)

And shake my feet like that!"

(shake feet)


When all the birds were roosting

(everyone lying on the floor again)

UP jumped the scarecrow

(everyone jumping up)

And shouted VERY LOUD

(shout out the last two words)
